1. M-PESA Remittances

This option allows users to remit amounts in their M-PESA wallets direct to the GMET M-PESA paybill. Reminders can be set with the secretariat and the account statement can be shared periodically to stay updated.

How to:

1. Go to MySafaricom app or SIM Toolkit on your phone
2. Choose M-PESA
3. Select Lipan a M-PESA
4. Select Pay Bill
5. Enter Business no. 717171
6. Select Account No. and Enter Your Name or File Number or Class/Group (for class/Group endowments) followed by “/GMET” e.g (JohnSmith/GMET or 1234/GMET)
7. Enter your preferred amount and send.

2. Standing Order

This option once set up automatically debits your account with the amount you have allocated and credits the same to GMET Collection account at ABSA Bank at monthly dates set by yourself. Once complete or at your own absolute discretion you can terminate this method with your banker. There is no need for reminders on this and the GMET secretariat prepares a statement of account for the remittances for your information and reconciliations.

You can set this up with your banker and the GMET secretariat can assist you with getting the necessary requirements in case you need assistance.

3. Bank Transfer

You can transfer money from your bank account either local or international direct to the GMET Collection account. The bank details are as below:
